Introduction, Purpose and Working Principle of Hydraulic Press

Hydraulic press is a machine made according to Pascal's principle that uses liquid as the working medium to transfer energy to achieve various processes. There are many types of universal hydraulic presses, and the uses are naturally diverse, the following briefly introduces the use and principle of hydraulic presses.

Hydraulic press is a machine that uses liquid as the working medium to transfer energy to achieve various processes. In addition to forging and forming, hydraulic presses can also be used for straightening, pressing, packing, briquetting and platen. Hydraulic presses include hydraulic presses and hydraulic presses. A water-based liquid as the working medium is called a hydraulic press, and an oil as the working medium is called an oil press. The specifications of hydraulic presses are generally expressed by nominal working force (kN) or nominal tonnage (tons). Most of the hydraulic presses for forging are hydraulic presses with high tonnage. In order to make the size of the equipment small, large forging hydraulic presses often use higher pressure (about 35 MPa) and sometimes use ultra-high pressure above 100 MPa. Hydraulic presses for other purposes generally adopt a working pressure of 6~25 MPa. The tonnage of the hydraulic press is lower than that of the hydraulic press.

How it works

The working principle of the hydraulic press. The areas of the large and small plungers are S2 and S1, and the forces on the plunger are F2 and F1 respectively. According to Pascal's principle, the pressure of the closed liquid is equal everywhere, that is, F2/S2=F1/S1=p; F2=F1(S2/S1)。 It indicates the gain effect of hydraulic pressure, like the mechanical gain, the force increases, but the work does not gain, so the movement distance of the large plunger is S1/S2 times the movement distance of the small plunger.

The basic principle is that the oil pump transports the hydraulic oil to the integrated cartridge valve block, and distributes the hydraulic oil to the upper cavity or 'lower cavity' of the cylinder through each check valve and relief valve, and makes the cylinder move under the action of high-pressure oil. A hydraulic press is a device that uses liquid to transfer pressure. When a liquid transfers pressure in a closed container, it follows Pascal's law. The hydraulic transmission system of the four-column hydraulic press is composed of a power mechanism, a control mechanism, an actuator, an auxiliary mechanism and a working medium. The power mechanism usually adopts an oil pump as the power mechanism, - generally an accumulation oil pump. In order to meet the requirements of the speed of the actuator, one oil pump or multiple oil pumps are selected. Gear pump for low pressure (oil pressure less than 2.5MP); Vane pump for medium pressure (oil pressure less than 6.3MP); High pressure (oil pressure less than 32.0MP) with piston pump. Pressure processing and forming of various plastic materials, such as extrusion, bending, deep drawing of stainless steel plates and cold pressing forming of metal parts, and can also be used for the pressing of powder products, grinding wheels, bakelite, resin thermosetting products.

Products are widely used in automobile manufacturing, aerospace, weapons industry, railway, shipbuilding, nuclear industry, chemical industry, machinery, home appliances, forging, environmental protection, powder metallurgy, mold abrasives, rubber and plastic and other industries.
